Anime Of The Week for Dec. 27-Jan. 2
Alright! We've made it through another year! so lets start 2010 with a BANG!!! This weeks Anime of the Week is Heroic Age! This anime takes place in the distant future when space travel between planets is possible. The Golden Race, who has the power to create planets and give life to living beings on each planet they create, sends an invitation to space throughout the universe. There are several different factions that answered this call throughout the passing of time. The Silver Race, who were an emotionless species; The Bronze Race, who were highly intellectual insect-like creatures; and The Heroic Race, a race with a power so mighty, one of its members could easily destroy a planet by unleashing its strength. These races found a way to space and waited for further instructions from the Golden Race. Eventually Humankind entered space and became known as the Iron Race by the other species. A very long time before humans entered space, the Heroic Race went into a frenzy and nearly destroyed itself, until it was stopped by the Golden Race, and the last 5 remaining members were banished to serve the Silver, Bronze, and Iron Races. Jumping back into the future now, the Golden tribe has left the universe and the Silver and Bronze Races have declared war against the Iron Race, seeing their destruction as necessary for their complete control over the universe. When a princess of the Junos Royal Family from the Iron Race, encounters a human boy named Age on a supposedly desolate planet, she realizes he holds the power of Bellcross, the strongest of the heroic Race that was forced to serve the Iron Race. Age and Bellcross, use their power to help the princess and the rest of the Iron Race fight for their survival against the attacking Silver and Bronze Armies, and against the other 4 remaining members of the Heroic Race. Alright! Enough of my rambling. Go watch it for yourself and enjoy it in all its epicness!!!

Anime Of The Week for Dec. 20 - 26
Greetings again! This week's Anime of the Week is Busou Renkin! This anime is an action/comedy that aired back in 2007. It is about a 2nd year high school boy named Kazuki. One day, Kazuki is wandering around an abandoned mill after he heard some strange noises coming from it. There, he witnessess another high school girl about to be unexpectedly killed by some kind of monster! Desperatly trying to comprehend what is going on, he rushes into the scene and trys to save the girl, but gets killed instead.... (yea, its kind of pathetic). The girl however, isnt all that she seems. Her name is Tokiko, and she is an Alchemic Warrior, who's job is to destroy all the Humunculi in that town. the Humunculi are the monsters that take the form of humans by gaining power through alchemy and they feed on society in secret. Tokiko uses a Kakugane, which is an alchemic devise with special properties, to replace Kazuki's heart, (which was pierced when he failed to save Tokiko), and brings him back to life. After getting involved in the Alchemic Warrior/Humunculi situation, Kazuki decides to use his new found power to protect his family and friends from the Humunculi, and joins Tokiko as an Alchemic Warrior. Enjoy!

ANIME OF THE WEEK for Dec. 13-19
Again, sorry for the extreme lateness... Because of the holiday season, I am working alot and am away from my computer more than I'd like. But, unfortunatly these delays might occur a few more times until my hours at work get rearranged. Enough of that now. this weeks anime of the week is Blood+! Throughout time, there has been a secret war going on behind the scenes of normal everyday life. The Chiropteran, who are flesh eating monsters with the ability to take the form of humans, and the mysterious organization Red Shield, who are a personalized army built for the sole purpose of eliminating the Chiropteran. Saya, a seemingly normal high school girl, suddenly gets involved in this war and finds out that her missing memories from over one year ago are deeply connected with the Chiropteran and Red Shield's conflict. For it is her blood alone that has the power to destroy the Chiropteran. Armed with her sword and partner/chevalier Hagi, they travel around the world to discover her mysterious past and find a way to end the war once and for all.

Anime Of The Week Dec. 6-12
First of all.... Sorry for the delay. I have been having some computer issues that took some time getting fixed. Everything is as it should be now. SO.......... without further interruptions, i give you this weeks anime of the week! D.Gray Man, is an anime that has grown quite popular in Japan over the years, but sadly went on hiatus when the author of the manga suddenly postponed the series. At and odd 103 episodes, this anime definatly leaves you hanging for more, but overall is an epic series that all would enjoy. The story revolves around a young exorcist named Allen Walker. He is from a special organization called the Black Order, whose sole objective is to hunt down the Akuma. The Akuma are souls brought back to life through despair and sadness by the Millenium Earl. Each Akuma posseses a fragment of power called Innocence, which, when all 109 pieces are gathered, can destroy the Earl and restore the world to normal. Allen possesses a unique power to see who is an Akuma or human through the use of his cursed left eye, and sets out on a journey to help the Black Order regain control over the Innocence shards, before the Earl can destroy the world and turn its inhabitants into his Akuma servants. Enjoi!

Anime Of The Week for Nov.29 - Dec.5
Hello yet again! Unfortunately due to work , I have yet to come up with more additions to Otaku Centre Anime. It is the Christmas season in retail after all... Well anyway, thats something to worry about later. Now its all about the Anime of the Week!!! This week I decided on an anime that has alot of blood and gore in it. I really dont care about "M" or "R" ratings on anime, and i wont not pick one if it is too violent etc. I decided on Elfen Lied! This anime is kinda short, but has one of the most compelling and complex plots ever. With only 13 episodes total, this anime can be hard to miss, but it is so good, therefore i am recommending it to all who like violent and action based animes. The story revolves around two cousins who live on their own in a coastal city in japan. Kouta and Yuka find a bloody, naked young girl on the beach one day who is unable to speak. after nursing her back to health they name her Nyuu, for that is the only thing she can say legibly. At first the two think she is just a normal person, but soon find that she is a powerful psychic capable of killing mass amounts of people with her insane abilities. Time is running out as she begins to turn back into the monster she was before the two found her. Enjoy this bloody-well done anime! Warning: there is brief nudity and intense violence throughout the series.

Evangelion 1.0 Now Available on Blu-Ray and DVD!
As you might have known from the Otaku Centre Update page, November 15th marked an important date to all Neon Genesis Evangelion fangirls..... and Galderon. LOL, well nonetheless it was important to everyone who enjoys the series. The 15th was the official U.S. release date for Evangelion 1.0, which was a remake of the first few episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion mashed together to form a long movie. The animation has all been redone and put into HD, making this one of the most breathtaking series's man has ever laid eyes upon. It just leaves you in suspense even if you know whats coming next! (That is, if you watched Neon Genesis.) Well, what are you still sitting here reading this for?! Go out there, buy it on DVD or Blu-Ray to support the creators, or if you're lazy and don't feel like leaving the house, or is broke, then watch it on one of the many anime streaming sites. (I would suggest Animekuro.com, since it is where i frequent for all my anime needs.) Either way, watch Evangelion 1.0. It is amazing, and you will be left in awe! Enjoy! :]

Anime Of The Week for Nov. 22-28
Well, its that time of the week again. I had a tough time deciding on an anime to choose for this week. I finally was able to pick something that everyone can enjoy. It is a classic from back in the day, so the animation isn't the latest and greatest, but it has one of the best story lines ever. This week's Anime of the Week is Gundam Wing! This anime is for anyone who likes giant robots that fight and destroy one another. In the future, a war wages between the Earth Federation and the Space Colonies. each side possesses giant mechas, called mobile suits, and use them in battle on land, sea, air, and space. These giant weapons of mass destruction are being used to destroy each faction. To counter this chaos, a renegade team of researchers and pilots create the ultimate mobile suits, called Gundams. Five Gundams, each armed with superior weaponry, head into combat against unimaginable odds as they reach for their ultimate goal... Peace and Freedom for all. I hope you all enjoy this anime! See you next week!

After Okajima Rokuro, a small-salary businessman, gets kidnapped by these pirates, he finds out that his company is more interested in recovering the documents he was carrying, than his own life, and they would sacrifice him if it deemed neccesary. After being abandoned by his employers, he reluctantly joins the very band of mercs that kidnapped him, abandoning his past and starting his life anew as "Rock".
